Abstract:

In this presentation I will introduce how data science impacts drug discovery research in the pharmaceutical industry and discuss how the research environments differ between academia and industry. The different stages of the drug discovery and development process will be introduced and, using examples, it will be discussed how data science can contribute by tackling various questions along the way.
