Course: Bioinformatics for metagenomics and environmental sequencing (Bio9905MERG1)
University of Oslo , NorwayHigh throughput sequencing (HTS) of PCR amplified markers (DNA metabarcoding or amplicon sequencing) is typically used to profile the taxonomic composition of environmental samples, qualitatively and partly quantitatively. The main aim with 'Bioinformatics for metagenomics and environmental sequencing' is to introduce participants to bioinformatics tools used for analyzing HTS-based DNA metabarcoding data.

NORBIS summer school 2017: ‘Communicating research by visualisation, illustration and storytelling’
University of Bergen , NorwayMost students within the NORBIS network will during their career work with large and complex data sets, which may result from biological measurements, computational simulation and/or analytical modelling. Being able to translate complicated research into information that can be interpreted, and even understood by a wide range of audiences, is an important skill that will…Continue reading NORBIS summer school 2017: ‘Communicating research by visualisation, illustration and storytelling’
