Travel funding for international courses and conferences
NORBIS open funding call for international conferences and courses
NORBIS is the Norwegian research school in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics and Systems Biology, founded in 2015. The school is a collaboration between eight Norwegian universities and aims to build and unite competences at a national level. We develop new courses, build educational tracks, and promote a new scientific community. It is our aim that our graduate students will contribute strongly to methods development within bioinformatics, biostatistics and systems biology, and that they will drive and contribute to the most important scientific projects in molecular life sciences in Norway and internationally.
NORBIS encourages you to benefit from international expertise and to expand your international network. We have funding available to support this, and now invite you to apply for financial support for attendance at international conferences and courses within the topics bioinformatics, biostatistics and systems biology, for example EBI Welcome Trust courses within the topics of bioinformatics. If you are attending a conference, please note you have to present a poster or give a talk to receive funding.
This is an open funding call without a deadline but with a fixed budget. Please note that the applications are evaluated by the NORBIS board in the end of each month. You can apply for a maximum amount of 20.000. . If you are interested, please click on the link and fill in NORBIS-application for international course-conference form and send your application, a letter of recommendation from your supervisor, and application/registration for a course/conference to email@example.com. The grant will be reimbursed after the travel. If you need an advance stipend, please contact us on the email provided above.
